Dubai

If you love advanced architecture and luxury… everything, Dubai is where you want to go. Since Dubai wasn’t established until 1996, no building or structure there can be considered “old.” Not only did they build the tallest building in the world, but they also built the world’s largest mall, picture frame, indoor theme park, and even the largest inflatable water park. There are a lot more records Dubai has made, but I won’t name them all. We spent our days visiting some of the coolest attractions and even spent a day in the desert, which was incredibly hot.

On our first day, we went to the Burj Khalifa and watched the water fountain show. Seeing the world’s tallest building was breathtaking, especially at night when it sparkles. We spent the next day in the desert for Mark’s birthday, where we rode camels, sandboarded, and drove four-wheelers. It was so much fun, but it was also 113 degrees, which made it a little harder to enjoy, but it was totally worth it. The desert was so cool to look at. The following days we spent exploring The Palm, which is their man-made island formed into a palm tree shape, and it was crazy! It only took six years to make too! We visited the giant picture frame and the Grand Mosque of Abu Dhabi, which was so mesmerizing. We also stopped by some photo spots like the Wings of Mexico and the Museum of the Future.

We loved Dubai and think there is a lot more exploring to do in this never-ending city. Hopefully, we can come back, maybe when it’s not so hot!
