Monaco

Monaco is the second smallest country in the world and also the second richest. It’s famous for the Monte Carlo Casino, where you’ll find an array of luxury cars parked out front. Since it’s such a small country—and we’re not quite in the same tax bracket as the millionaires (yet)—we only spent one night there.

We spent the day walking around and admiring the beautiful cars as they passed by the famous F1 race turn. That evening, we visited the casino, watching people gamble huge amounts while we sat back and enjoyed the atmosphere. We each spent $10 on the slot machines, hoping to strike it big, but sadly, we lost it all. Mark got a cool $20 chip and decided to keep it as a souvenir instead of gambling it. Naturally, we had to have a drink, which ended up costing more than the slots combined.

Despite the losses, it was still an amazing experience. Hopefully, one day we’ll return and be the ones playing at the tables just for fun
