Phnom Penh

The day before we left for Cambodia, we realized that we needed a visa to enter, but obtaining one would have taken 3 days. Nevertheless, we decided to proceed in the hope that they would grant us entry upon arrival. Thankfully, upon our arrival, they allowed us to pay for the visa on arrival, and we received a large sticker in our passports, which I believe was worth it. Upon reaching our hotel, we were amazed by its beauty. Every detail, from the walls to the floors and decorations, exuded the rich culture of Cambodia. Our room was also beautifully decorated, offering a stunning view of the royal palace. Despite the intense heat during our short stay, we explored the magnificent royal palace and visited a couple of local markets. We even encountered one of the most terrifying birds I’ve ever seen, though it was undeniably fascinating. Additionally, we enjoyed some relaxing time at our hotel’s rooftop pool, which offered a breathtaking view of the city.

Siem Reap

Siem Reap was my favorite part of Cambodia. From the breathtaking Angkor Wat to the awe-inspiring world record-holding circus, there was always so much to see, and nothing disappointed. Even Pub Street and the night market were incredibly enjoyable to stroll through. The circus was a blast; the performers showcased immense talent and delivered an incredible show. Angkor Wat was equally astounding; the fact that it was constructed in the 12th century and still vividly tells a story is mind-blowing. I highly recommend everyone visit at least once in their lifetime.
