Animal Cafes in Tokyo

There are tons of animal cafes in Japan where you can pretty much see any animal you want. So we decided to check a couple out. Before choosing any, we made sure to check reviews and articles to ensure the animals there were treated well. Then, we decided to go to an owl cafe and an otter cafe.

The owl cafe had about 15 owls of all shapes and sizes. They were all super cute and way more interesting than I expected. We got to pet them, feed them, and even hold them. Mark even had one land on his head (it flew and landed on him, lol). They don’t clip the owls’ wings, and the staff were very informative about all of the owls. It was super nice seeing how well they were taken care of. Overall, I would definitely recommend this cafe for a more laid-back experience.

The otter cafe was one that I had been so excited for, considering otters are my favorite animal. I got to play with three of them! They are so cute and super soft, and they make squeaky noises which were unexpected but super adorable. Their paws are my favorite; they’re so little, and whenever they grab food out of your hand, you can feel all their tiny fingers. This cafe also had hedgehogs, chinchillas, and a giant bunny rabbit. All of the animals were so cute and sweet, and definitely well-loved by the staff. I would definitely visit here again!
